We have WALK IN hours for Landlord/Tenant and Consumer Law issues available during these times:

Mondays and Wednesdays- 9:30am-11:00am

Tuesdays and Thursdays- 1:30pm-3:00pm

(Walk-in consultations on limited issues are with a law clerk or paralegal. Walk-in consultations are also reserved for new clients or new matters. If SLMS is a currently assisting you on a case, please schedule a follow-up appointment with the staff currently assisting you.)

Walk-ins are limited to three slots on a first-come, first-served basis.

NO legal advice will be given over the phone.

Eligibility

You must be a current PSU student carrying at least 4 undergraduate-level or 3 graduate-level credits.  The opposing party cannot be a PSU student, staff, or faculty member.

SLMS cannot assist with:

  • Bankruptcy
  • Business Law
  • College Housing
  • Contested divorce or custody issues
  • Immigration Law
  • International Law
  • Out of state issues (Except WA)
  • Third party issues (someone else’s issues)
  • Student vs. Student
  • Student vs. PSU administration
  • Student vs. PSU faculty or staff disputes

What to Bring to Your Appointment

  • Valid student ID (if coming in for notary services, please bring two forms of picture ID)
  • An account summary for the current term
  • All documentation related to your matter, including names, addresses, and contact information for all parties involved.
